I’ve learned, through experience, to keep a garden diary each year.
It helps me in so many ways.
It fulfils my growing OCD tendencies.
All instructions are in one place.
I can look back and see exactly when and where I sowed certain seeds. Like the climbing nasturtium were sown in plugs on the 23rd of April 2021. They germinate in about 3 weeks so that stops me from shouting at them to grow faster…LOL.
Patience is a Virtue. Patience is a Virtue. Patience is a Virtue. Patience is a Virtue. Patience is a Virtue.
I must cultivate patience.
I also note down which plants self-seed so that I can let them run to seed and scatter naturally. Which is a great money-saver.
All successes and ALL failures are written down too. To help me teach myself about soil conditions, full sun/partial sun/shade, wind burn, drowning, drought, wildlife freeloaders (!) etc
And, on days like today – I plan my next “garden domination” campaign :o)
