The Queen of Hungary Water

There are a mass of legends about this “miracle beauty product.”

The most popular stories state that Elizabeth of Hungary, in the late 1300’s, suffered from headaches and this tonic was made for her by ? ? ?

The water/tonic was so successful that it not only relieved her migraines but also restored her youthful looks so well that she got a proposal of marriage from the King of Poland. Etc. Etc.

Anyways. I adore this and have not made it for decades, so, instead of paying £’s times thousands for botox and/or a facelift, I’m going to re-instate my still room (herbal/apothecary room.)

I’d use :

Fresh/dry rosemary, lavender, rose petals, lemon balm, mint, marigold petals, lemon peel, sage – plus or minus whatever is to hand.

Steep all the above in a jar with enough organic apple cider (from the motherload!) to cover the plants then top up with rose water or witch hazel.

Keep this bottle/jar sealed and in a cool/dark place and use as needed :o)

If Elizabeth of Hungary – at the age of 70 – can go all Benjamin Button…Why can’t I ?
