To me she will always and forever be Lady Jane Felsham from the Lovejoy series.

But she’s played many roles. A good one was in Daughters of Cain, an Inspector Morse episode, where she’s an English Literature teacher who constantly spouts lines from Macbeth.

She was also in Downtown Abbey – which I never watched.

Most people think that Phyllis is kind of UpperCrust English. But she’s a Scot.

Coddled Eggs is the only TV show where I’ve ever heard her speak in her native accent.
