Making soap isn’t Rocket Science…FACT!

It is something else you can do to feel empowered.

Here is the recipe I use:-

1000g Organic Olive Oil

250g Organic Coconut Oil

450mls pure water – rainwater for example

172g caustic soda Heat the oils – having infused the olive oil with your favourite herb

Put the water in a pyrex jug and add the caustic soda – this makes your lye solution – NEVER add water to caustic soda Gently heat the oils and when they reach the same temperature as the lye, (about 50 degrees far.), add the lye to the oils Blend for a few minutes until you reach “trace” when the mixture is like custard and the blender can drip a trace on the surface. Pour into moulds, wrap up or cover with a towel for 24 hours then remove the soap from the moulds and harden by allowing to cure for 4-6 weeks.
