He was a MAJOR lynch-pin in the novel, if not exactly a MAJOR character.

I fell in love with him straight away. He’s 19 when he’s first introduced to the story.

A century and a bit later we get John Montagu, Earl of Sandwich and probably THE single most ridiculous Mainstream History Story EVER invented. In my opinion :o)
