Usual stuff.
yt has scrubbed this Lewis episode.
But – if you can – watch Lewis Series 6 Episode 1: The Soul of Genius.
Apparently Lewis Carroll admitted (much later) that Hunting the snark was a parody of the eternal human pursuit of happiness.
The Bellman is an expert on Snarks and tells us that you can hunt a Snark with thimbles, you may hunt it with forks and hope; you may threaten its life with a railway-share; or charm it with smiles and soap.
I’m liking this video though. Lewis is a working class Geordie. Hathaway is a Graduate and went to a Seminary to become a priest…but left said seminary when REAL LIFE tragedy overcame his need for theology.
