Greek Mythology. Titans versus the gods.

A bronze anvil is thrown from on high into the depths of Tartarus.

Hesiod tells us that a bronze anvil thrown from the celestial sphere would take 9 days to reach earth and another 9 to reach Tartarus. It wasn’t just a place though, Tartarus was also considered to be a divinity in his own right, just like Night, Time and the Earth.

And NO. I’m not making it up :o)
