I am in the process of writing a piece about the Cathars and as I studied a few old maps of the Languedoc, Cathar Country, I came across this little beauty below.

The Languedoc is in the South of France and it borders Catalonia in Northern Spain. These two provinces are inextricably linked in many ways (not the least being that they were both the last to resist all plans to separate Europe!!) but what I never expected to find were just how many starforts there are here.
