I’ve known a little bit about this work of art for many years. It was always a bit of a mystery to me. But, just one of those crazy things that keeps happening.

Stolen from over and over again. Restored. Mis-represented. Painted over. Back is front. Front is back etc.

And ALL of Europe seems to’ve been involved in the run around. Why?

P.S. Is it just me or does the big picture in the top middle of the Ghent Altarpiece not look very much like The Hierophant (Higher Power) in the Tarot ? ? ?
