I’ve just truly depressed myself today :o(

The image below is my stable block. We began a huge (?) renovation and very stupidly involved the local conservation council committee. M’eh.

I’ve talked before about them and how me and they parted. My total disrespect and their complete draining of ALL funds!!!!

Anyhoo. Positive note. The main work HAS been done. So.

Through the arched window on the right is the kitchen/diner.

Through the two on the left is the main room.

In the middle is an entrance hall leading to both the above and also a bathroom and a staircase that takes us up into the hayloft and a gorgeous bedroom.

There are underfloor hot water heating pipes laid, hand made internal doors and all the original cast iron door furniture.

One day. Sometime soon. Sigh. We’ll get our cheap mechanic to come back and fix the broken car. He’s a family member from Wales and all he needs in payment are – a comfy bed, some Guinness and home cooked meals.

I like him. A LOT :o)
