THEY Understand ME in Paris

Four girls in a restaurant in Paris.

One of them said to the (quite good-looking young waiter!)

Can we have the bill, please?

And me, being stupid, said out loud….

I can say that in French.

Not realising that the waiter was still there.

He asked me to say it.

Blush.

L’addition s’il vous plaît ????

Big smile from sexy man.

It is wonderful to hear my language spoken by a beautiful English woman.

Oh. More blushes. Slide under the table. Smooth French Waiters. OMG! Schwoon (?!)

THEY Understand ME in Paris!

P.S. I got hit with the French waiter vibe several times.

A glass of white wine

WE SAY : Un Verre de Vin Blanc

OK. Both of those. Thanks, mate!

  1. I adore this story, Greta!!! I can absolutely see you in a bistro doing this! His response is beyond perfect:D I have not yet watched any of Rosemary and Thyme, but I am thinking I have put it off far too long:-) Thank you for this today!

    1. Wilkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome, Lovely girl.
If you ever get to watch this from Episode 1 to the end…you WILL love it.
      I Know :o)
In A Monastery Garden was filmed at Chichester Cathedral. I used to sit there in my lunch time from work at the bank.
The shop that Laura visits to get her fancy-pants outfit from is/was The Army & Navy Store. Just across the road from the Cathedral :o)
      TY x
P.S. I still say un vin de verre blanc :o(
