It’s taken me a while to process this one!
A few days ago, I got outta the shower and wrapped a bath towel a bit too tightly. It made me hobble (look it up?) down a hall, up four steps and down another hall.
I made myself laugh :o)
Eons ago, when I had my shop, I specialised in buying and selling vintage clothes. I also did a LOT of research into fashion. Especially the Edwardian Era. Poiret. Chanel. Lanvin. Callot Soeurs. ETC!
The Hobble Skirt always fascinated me.
Even then I put it on a par with Corsets, FootBinding, HighAFHeels, Chastity Belts, Scold’s Bridles, Bustles, Petticoats by the Dozen……….as in Anything To Restrict a Woman!
Try walking in a Hobble Skirt yourself. In fact…..even more fun…..try wearing the above plus a ton of jewellery and running (?!)
