Sometimes. OK. Quite often. I truly despair of where my brain takes me.
This morning it was to Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber.
A quick wiki search brought up the fact that this story was first published in the Penney Dreadfuls that I’d talked of recently. I had no idea about that fact!!!!
I was thinking of the similarity between Sweeney Todd and the Shakespeare play TITUS ANDRONICUS.

And then I made myself laugh out loud. Again.
Sweeney Todd is Cockney Rhyming slang for The Flying Squad…one of my Dad’s fave TV series which features one of MY fave actors – John Thaw aka Inspector Morse.
