I’d bet that most people in the UK have heard about Broadmoor Prison/Hospital.

Few know about it’s history though. And fewer understand (!?)

Like so many similar Enormous, Elaborate buildings in this country, it was built in the second half of the 19th century…as an ASYLUM!

Gordon Bennett – we must’ve had so many #MAD people running around 1800’s Britain :o(
