Over the past few months of watching George Clarke I’ve become an armchair architect/engineer/builder/designer/know-it-all (!)

Did y’all know that the strongest structures in the whole history of building are ROUND TOWERS!

Think about Lighthouses. Especially those in the Outer Hebrides or some such totally weather-ferocious place.

Build a round tower and then brace it with a SOLID CONCRETE Spiral Staircase and you get…?

The Celtic lands of Scotland, Ireland and Wales are full of Ancient Round Towers/Brochs etc.

The Ravens of Dinefwr is the first in a series of novels-in-progress set in the early 12th century.
