Films for me are remembered by their dates and where we lived at that time.
1996. We lived in a secret location in Hampshire. Portsmouth was a half hour drive away.
So, one night, we had a babysitter and drove to Portsmouth to watch Trainspotting as soon as it was released in UK cinemas. We arrived a bit early and went to a Mexican Bar, by the cinema, for a drink.
I’ve never watched this film from start to finish from that day to this. But I have NEVER forgotten it. I even bought the soundtrack on CD.
Go away. I’m having a Private Ewan Fantasy (Beautiful Smile) Moment. Bloody Scots. I despair of them. Un-flipping-controllable :o(
