The lovely girl that I spent yesterday with was talking about their favourite TV show VIKINGS.

And she made a comment about a stray Viking walking about, seeing a local girl, them getting together, falling in love and having children. “It must have happened, it’s human nature.”

So I told her about my DNA and the Scottish, Viking, Russian link.

“Living proof,” said she.

BTW : Varangian means Foreigner. It’s usually connected to the Viking Guard of the Byzantine Emperor in Turkey.
