As said by someone at the time – “Yuk. Tastes like cough mixture.”
I agreed and went onto dry white wine whilst marvelling at the fans (on the ceiling,) totally cutting out the boring business conversations, people watching and throwing peanut shells on the floor. Yup. Raffles was once famous for the peanut shells carpet!
