P.S. Charles d’Orleans, cousin of the Jehanne d’Arc’s Dauphin and Henry V’s wife, was captured here and taken to England for 20 or so years as a Prisoner of Ransom. He spent quite a bit of time jailed at Bolingbroke Castle…. just down the road.

Strange but true : In all his many writings he never once mentioned Jehanne d’Arc, Saviour of France.
