I was 12 years old when my Mum lent me her copy of the novel Katherine by Anya Seton. We were living here then, and it ignited my interest in local history. From Bolingbroke Castle to Lincoln Cathedral which are about 26 or so miles apart.

And it also helped me with the English Royal Family during my decades of research into Jehanne d’Arc, also Owen Tudor (Tewdwr) and Welsh history.

And – bizarrely – the Tarot.

Katherine and her daughter are buried in Lincoln Cathedral.
